Wix
Drag-and-drop widget integration for Wix sites.
Install steps
- Go to your Wix Editor.
- Click 'Add' (+) > 'Embed Code' > 'Embed HTML'.
- Paste the GizmoSauce snippet into the code box.
- Resize the frame to fit the widget.
Step-by-Step Installation
- Open Editor: Log in to Wix and edit your site.
- Add Element: Click the
+(Add Elements) button on the left sidebar. - Find Embed: Navigate to Embed Code > Popular Embeds > Embed HTML.
- Paste Code: A gray box will appear. Click 'Enter Code' and paste your GizmoSauce snippet. Click Update.
- Resize: This is critical. Wix runs code in an iframe. You MUST drag the resize handles of the widget container to be large enough to show your content. If you see scrollbars, drag it larger.
Common Issues: Mobile View
Wix handles mobile layouts separately. After adding the widget on Desktop:
- Switch to Mobile View (phone icon at top).
- You may need to resize or move the widget again for the mobile breakpoint.
- Use the 'Hide on Mobile' toggle if you only want the widget on desktop.
Floating Widgets on Wix
Wix iframes serve as a sandbox. A floating widget (like a chat bubble) generally cannot 'escape' the iframe bounds to float over your entire Wix site.
Workaround: Resize the Wix HTML element to cover the entire viewport height/width and enable 'Pin to Screen' in the right-click menu. However, this may block clicks on your site content. For best results, use our inline-style widgets (Grids, Sliders) on Wix.
