Turnstile verification (bot protection)
Some endpoints require a Turnstile token to prevent automated abuse.
Why this exists
Certain features—like high‑value third‑party API lookups—can be abused by bots. GizmoSauce uses Cloudflare Turnstile to protect those endpoints while keeping the UX friction low (invisible verification).
If verification fails
If you see an error asking you to verify again, reload the page and retry. Network blocks or strict browser privacy extensions can sometimes interfere with challenge execution.
Why Turnstile exists
Some endpoints (especially expensive third-party lookups) can be abused by automated bots. Turnstile is a lightweight way to prove “this is a real user” without forcing annoying puzzles.
In most cases the verification is invisible and happens in the background.
If verification fails
Turnstile can fail if:
- The browser blocks third-party scripts aggressively.
- A privacy extension blocks the challenge.
- Network policies prevent the script from loading.
Try reloading the page, disabling strict extensions temporarily, or testing in an incognito window.
