FAQ Accordion: layouts, search, and styling

Build a searchable FAQ section with accordion, categories, grid, or list layouts and tune the design to match your site.

Quick start

  1. Open the editor: /get-widget/faq-accordion
  2. Add your questions and answers.
  3. Choose a structure: Accordion, Categories, Grid, or List.
  4. Optionally enable Search and set a Default open question.
  5. Click Save & Get Code to publish and embed.

Choose the right layout

Use each layout for a specific job:

  • Accordion: best general-purpose default for landing pages
  • Categories: best when you have several topics like billing, onboarding, and support
  • Grid: useful on wider help pages where two columns improve scanning
  • List: keeps answers open by default and works well for documentation-style pages

Copy and search behavior

In the Content tab you can control more than just the FAQ items:

  • Eyebrow, title, and subtitle
  • Search placeholder text
  • Empty-state and no-results text
  • Optional answer label above each response

If you clear optional text fields, the widget will hide that copy instead of forcing a fallback in places where empty content is intentional.

Design and accessibility

FAQ Accordion supports shared theme settings, typography controls, icon style/position, radius, shadows, and transparent or branded surfaces.

Use Header alignment to support left, center, or right-aligned headings, which is useful for Arabic/RTL-friendly layouts.

The widget is keyboard accessible and designed to stay readable on desktop and mobile.
